This Privacy Policy explains how Ladder AI (“Ladder AI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use Ladder, our bid leveling and proposal analysis app and service.Ladder helps contractors and related business users upload, review, compare, organize, and analyze proposals and bid-related content through Excel-based workflows, including web-based and local Excel environments.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Ladder app and service. It is not intended to describe only a website.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of Ladder, and information processed through service providers that help us operate Ladder.

Account and Authentication Information
When you create an account or log in to Ladder, we may collect:name;email address;authentication identifiers;login method, such as Auth0 or Google sign-in;organization or account-related information, if provided.

User Content
When you use Ladder, you may upload, submit, store, or generate content, including:bid proposals;contractor or subcontractor submissions;project documents;spreadsheets;notes;extracted proposal data;other files or content you choose to provide.

This User Content may contain business, commercial, project, or personal information depending on what you upload.

Usage and Technical Information
We may collect information about how Ladder is used, including:app usage events;feature interactions;device and browser information;operating system information;log data;IP address;approximate location derived from technical information;error reports;performance data;diagnostic information.
We use tools such as PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for error monitoring and crash reporting.

3. How We Use Information
We use information to:provide, operate, and maintain Ladder;authenticate users and manage accounts;store and process User Content you upload;support bid leveling, proposal comparison, extraction, organization, and analysis features;troubleshoot issues and improve reliability;monitor performance and security;understand how users interact with Ladder;prevent misuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;provide support and respond to inquiries;comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Use User Content
We process User Content only as needed to provide and support Ladder. This may include storing uploaded proposals, extracting or organizing bid information, generating comparisons, presenting analysis in Excel-based workflows, and maintaining records needed for service functionality.We do not sell User Content. We do not use User Content for third-party advertising. We do not share User Content with unaffiliated third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

5. Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate Ladder. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services to us.
Examples include:Google Cloud Platform, for hosting, storage, and cloud infrastructure;Auth0, for authentication and account login;Google sign-in, if you choose to log in with Google;PostHog, for analytics and product usage insights;Sentry, for error monitoring, diagnostics, and crash reporting.
These providers are not authorized to use your information for their own unrelated purposes.

6. No Sale of Personal Information and No Advertising
We do not sell users’ personal information. We do not use Ladder to show third-party ads. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal information and User Content for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Ladder, maintain user accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business needs.If you request deletion of your account or data, we will delete or de-identify information where required and reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, backup, and operational retention needs.

8. Data Deletion and User Rights
You may request deletion of your account or personal information by contacting us at:reuven@getladder.ai. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

Ladder is currently intended for users in the United States. If you access Ladder from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
