How do I install the Ladder add-in?
Your Ladder admin will send you an install link or file. Open Excel, go to Insert → Add-ins, and follow the prompts to add Ladder.
How do I log in?
Click the Ladder icon in your Excel ribbon to open the task pane, then click "Log in" and sign in with your Ladder account email and password.
What if the login popup doesn't appear?
Your browser or Excel may be blocking popups. Allow popups from getladder.ai in your browser settings, then try again.
How do I find a project?
The home screen shows your recent projects. Use the search bar at the top to find one by name.
How do I create a project?
On the home screen, click "New Project," enter a name, and click "Create."
How do I edit or delete a project?
Open the project and use the edit (pencil) icon to rename it, or the project menu to delete it. Deleting a project is permanent — everything inside it goes too.
What are packages and folders?
Packages are the main containers for your bid documents. Folders let you organize files within a package — think of packages as drawers and folders as dividers inside them.
How do I create a package or folder?
Open a project and click "New Package," or open a package and click "New Folder." Enter a name and click "Create."
How do I edit or delete a package or folder?
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to its name and choose "Edit" or "Delete." Deleting removes everything inside it.
How do I upload a file?
Open a package or folder, click "Upload," select a PDF from your computer, and click "Open."
What file types are supported?
PDF only. Maximum file size is 50MB.
How do I switch between light and dark mode?
Click the moon/sun icon in the top-right corner of the task pane.
How do I log out or switch accounts?
Open the account menu in the task pane and select "Log out."
The add-in panel is blank or won't load.
Close and reopen the task pane, or refresh Excel. If that doesn't help, sign out of Excel and sign back in.
My login popup is being blocked.
Allow popups from getladder.ai in your browser. In Chrome, click the blocked popup icon in the address bar and select "Always allow."
I can't see my project.
Make sure you're logged in with the right account. Try the search bar — it may not show up in recent projects if it's been a while.
